Fortunes can sway on appraisal accuracy. Unlike a broker, who has inventory that he has to move, as your Buyers Broker I act only as an advocate for you, the buyer. My directive is to place an expected retail and wholesale value on a particular contemplated purchase. Typically Brokers are seller’s brokers.  They keep mum on many aspects of an aircraft transaction they have to they represent the seller, and only want to get the highest possible price for the seller.  That’s why you should not buy an aircraft without a buyer’s broker.  Even though I cost you money the reality is you will save money on your side of the transaction.

Some buyers are very definite about their budget, they want to get the newest, and best performer for their money. Not necessarily the biggest. It’s possible to spend months on the trail of prospective acquisitions for you the client.  Sometimes we buy new, and in others, the best value is in pre-owned.  Often it is better buy used even if the client can afford new. Why? Two reasons, the first you lose money just like driving a car off the lot depending on the current market. The second is the process of "breaking-in" a new aircraft can be frustrating.  No matter which way you go there is no mistaking the smile on your face when you taxi away in the first flight of your new aircraft.  I would like to be there with you for the whole ride start to finish- wheels up my friend.
